[Web4lib] Librarians, administrators, and Google's "library"

I wonder if they know that PS3 is a Blue Ray player.  NetFlix with a Roku
player is an extraordinary combination.  The number of History Channel,
PBS, and Discovery Channel selections available instantly is larger than
most small libraries.  And, with a one-time cost of about $90 for the player
and a $10 a month suscription including Blue Ray, how do libraries compete?

Before, libraries were able to sell the idea that they were the ones
collecting
low demand educational videos, while the big chain video stores stocked
high demand items.  With Google offering low demand books, how will that
affect demand for libraries materials?
