That's kind of you to mention.

I think one of the important things to remember about our catalogue is that
somebody else in the library did the actual design.  They had no hang-ups
about how an OPAC should look and so that threw some interesting challenges
back at me, who had to implement the HTML etc.  The library maps were done
separately by other colleages and the finished result is what you see.

We had a lot of rich data in there, including Syndetics and LIbraryThing.
We wanted to present this stuff in way that didn't overwhelm immediately -
hence the sliding tabs.

For the Google Books code, we used LTFL's call-back function to feed us the
URL, the rest was pretty easy then.

Oh, the SMS function was based on Adam Brin's work, though he might not
recognise it immediately!
