Charleston, SC? Here's a sneak peek at some of the events you won't
want to miss...
	
Monday October 12th - Pre-Conference Sessions
*All day beginner session:
Introduction to CONTENTdm, led by Geri Bunker Ingram, Manager of User
Services for OCLC Digital Collection Services
*Morning advanced session:
Web 2.0, Tips & Tricks for Enhancing your Hosted Interface led by Amy
Rudersdorf and Jennifer Ricker of the State Library of North Carolina
*Afternoon advanced session:
Zoom and Bloom: Using Zoomify to Enhance your Digital Collections led
by Christopher Vinson of the College of Charleston

There will be a reception on Monday Evening at Addlestone Library.

Tuesday October 13th- Full day of presentations, discussions, hot topic
lightning round, and CONTENTdm updates. Topics include:

Negatives with Laura Capell
*Now You Have It - How to Save It? (Digital Preservation for CONTENTdm
Using LOCKSS) with Beth Nicol
*Optimizing for Broader Discoverability: Metadata with Web Crawlers and
OAI Harvesters in Mind with Sandra McIntyre and Cheryl Walters
*Lightning rounds are quick and informal discussions-- a great
opportunity for attendees to share new ideas and best practices, spot
trends, congratulate achievements. Speakers are invited to address the
whole group for five minutes each, and then break into small discussion
groups for more in-depth conversations at the end. Sign up sheets will
be available Monday and Tuesday for those interested in presenting a
lightning talk. It will be on a first come/first served basis, and there
will be a limit of 9-10 presentations.

The absolute final registration deadline is Monday, October 5th.  You
may register for the Pre-Conference sessions, the Conference or both
online. The Pre-Conference and Conference fee is $75.00 and the fee for
attending one day, either the Pre-Conference or the Conference is
