Scheduled Presentations:
Kyle Jones
A.C. Buehler Library, Elmhurst College
Initially built as a blogging system, Wordpress has matured in its
development to encompass more than just blogging. With over 1,300
plugins and hundreds of themes available all created by a community with
fervent dedication to its growth and stability,
Wordpress should be on your list of CMS contenders.
Kyle will explain why he has implemented a version of Wordpress as a
CMS, provide a walk through of its administrative system, proclaim its
advantages, and address its detractors.
Brian Smith
Prairie Area Library System
Brian will discuss some options in Drupal - including the Tagadelic and
Cumulus modules - to enhance the display of always tricky taxonomy
terms.
John Wohlers
Waubonsee Community College Todd Library
John will discuss the invaluable Content Construction Kit (CCK) and
Views modules in Drupal. He will demonstrate how he used CCK and Views
to build a research database listing.
Cheers,
