"FireFox or the Mozilla project in general has not done anything revolutionary in a long time."

What? What do you consider the Ubiquity project to be? Apparently Microsoft thought it was revolutionary enough to clone the idea in their image with IE8's Accelerators.

There have been other very interesting things that Mozilla has done to Firefox that are not hugely noticeable by the average person, therefore I won't consider them "revolutionary", but they do have their own merit regardless (as do similarly progressive steps of other browser makers). The only other thing that might be considered revolutionary in *any* browser would be Google Chrome's separate processes per tab; most other ideas are simple UI modifications which I also wouldn't consider to be revolutionary.

Either way, back on topic...I'd tend to agree that most browsers are beginning to render similarly (thank you, ACID tests), and therefore the worry, stress, and long coffee sessions are no longer nearly as violent. While we're talking about browser Betas, I'd also like to point out that Opera 10 is on the horizon as well.

Perhaps it's because they are now getting to be just containers. Chrome could be exciting but not until it allows me to include add-ons such as those I use in FireFox. FireFox or the Mozilla project in general has not done anything revolutionary in a long time.
