[Web4lib] streaming educational videos and copyright

Hi everyone,
 
I am looking at possibility of replacing a DVD collection by making streaming videos available to faculty for both classroom and individual use and wonder if anyone has already done this or has experimented with the option?
 
Some important points are what procedures are in place to clear copyright or where and how these videos can be purchased to remain compliant while being streamed in a classroom? One more factor is what equipments respond best to such need?
