Why not use simple form that gets sent to an e-mail address?

You could use http://www.surveymonkey.com/ to set up a registration form. Free for less the 100 responses per survey.

Does anyone know of a low-entry (e.g. free or cheap) online app that can
be used to easily set up an event registration form/database?
Thanks for any info,
