[Web4lib] Loaning laptops off-campus

My question is more a policy question. We are contemplating loaning
laptops for overnight use. We have been circulating laptops within the
library for several years. 

If you loan laptops to students for off-campus use, what is your
policy/charge for lost or damaged laptops? These are old, slow, almost
retired laptops. The students who would use them are probably the
neediest students with the least ability to pay.
