Octoshape, the company that created the application, links to a story that advertises its role in streaming the inauguration coverage for CNN.  The blurb displayed on Octoshape's website cited a passage from the article that noted the software's P2P nature.  http://octoshape.com/press/press.asp?press=id0901_cpl&xml=0901 . There's much more out there (unsurprisingly) about Octoshape's application threatening to be a sys admin's nightmare.

This is probably not true.  My laptop is set up not to install anything in its normal mode.  I have to log in with my admin account to make any updates.
