Hi Janette
A number of Australian academic libraries have been trialling a rover service over the past two years.
I have had no direct involvement myself, but it seems to have been quite successful across the board.
Here's a paper from the 2008 VALA conference: http://www.valaconf.org.au/vala2008/papers2008/95_Tairi_Final.pdf
Kind regards
Rebecca
