[Web4lib] Campus without a physical library

Yeah, it was CSU Monterrey Bay. It was written up in the January 30, 1995 issue of Newsweek. A CSUMB news item briefly describes it:

The CSUMB news blurb said that the Newsweek article "describes how CSU's image of the campus does not include plans for a library."
 
Irony of ironies, a fancy brand new library building will be opening at CSUMB in a couple of weeks. It will be the largest building on campus.

I believe that was in the California higher education system.  I do not
remember what campus.  If I remember correctly a library building was finally
built there.

I need to track down some information.

Some time ago there was some writing and discussion in web4lib
about a college or university that was planned or built without a physical
library, it was supposed to be fully electronic. I have been trying
to track down
if this was just
1) rumours of being planned or
2) actually planned or
3) actually built.
and, if any of these, where?

Can anyone help me out here?
