Non-Exempt, Contingent II, Full-Time, Grade 10

 

 

The Library Technician III is responsible for processing, shipping, data-entry, report generation, and tracking and retrieval related to circulation processes.  Specific responsibilities for this position include:

 

*         Processing, shipping data-entry, report generation, tracking and retrieval related to circulation processes

*         Training and monitoring student workers and other personnel engaged in circulation processing

*         Customer service responsibilities while at the circulation desk and when answering all phone, written, email and other inquiries

*         Intra-team support role for processes that include, but are not limited to interlibrary loan, and e-reserves

*         Performing other job-related duties as assigned

 

Requires a High school diploma or equivalent, and 5 years of experience in the primary 

duties and in other duties as related to the performance of the job.  MS Word, and 

Excel, General proficiency with a PC, must be able to provide direction to student 

worker, critical thinking skills, excellent written and verbal communication ability, 

organizational skills, detail oriented and must possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Bachelor's degree and circulation processing with Aleph systems, and academic library 

experience is preferred.
