I have something of a love/hate relationship with the acid tests.

While the tests do help ensure that products support standards, simply 
passing the test does not guarantee complete, proper support of the 
standards.  It's something like a no browser left behind test, that no 
matter how slick it is (and it is a very slick test that is great for 
what it is), can't address all important aspects of the standards it is 
testing for.
