I setup a newsletter with it for a museum website. It works well for them. They have about 120 subscribers. Since the site is on a shared host, I set up a cron job to send the emails out without going over my hourly limit. It has a bit of a learning curve for a newbie like myself. I would be glad to answer any questions you might have about it.

Subject: [Web4lib] phplist for e-newsletter distribution
Hello,
We are considering phplist (http://www.phplist.com) as a platform for targeted announcements and e-newsletter distribution. Has anyone who has used this application experienced any issues (positive or negative) worth sharing?
