[Web4lib] remote web work for library staff?

You might also want to try LogMeIn: http://www.logmein.com. It is a
remote desktop service. The basic service account is free. This works
with dynamic IPs, firewalls without the need to VPN or ssh tunneling.
And you can use a Mac to connect to a Windows machine.

I normally use this to connect to my home computer from office (you
can't do this with Remote Desktop without first knowing the IP you got
on your home computer)

I also use this when I am on a Mac or a Linux machine trying to access
my Office Windows machine.

I still use Remote Desktop to access office Windows from another Windows
machine, as it performs better.

Hope this helps
