Ivy Tech Community College Northeast seeks an energetic, driven
individual committed to excellence to serve as librarian in the Fort
Wayne campus library. This position works primarily in the evening but
may occasionally require daytime or Saturday hours. The ideal candidate
will implement emerging technology to enhance traditional library
resources and services. Previous academic library experience and
familiarity with Odyssey is desirable. Required: MLS/MLIS from an ALA
accredited institution.
*Essential Functions:*
· Coordinate and assist in the delivery of basic services of the
library or coordinate the services of a library department.
· Coordinate and staff the library.
· Supervise student workers and evening employees, others as
assigned.
· Assume responsibility for the development and delivery of
bibliographic instruction in coordination with library tutor and director.
· Assist in the development of marketing strategies in
coordination with the library tutor and director.
· Assist students, faculty and staff with library resources in
all formats.
· Coordinate Inter-Library Loan Services through WorldCat and/or
OCLC association
· Assume primary responsibility for collecting and reporting
library statistics for annual reports.
· Supervise library staff and operations in the absence of the
Library Director.
· Coordinate web presence.
· Assist the library staff with the use of integrated library
system applications.
