The best PHP-based application I've used is called Wikindx
(http://wikindx.sourceforge.net/). A demo is available at that URL. It's a
full-blown Web-based app, so no coding's required. You can also investigate
other bibliographic management software at

Subject: [Web4lib] PHP/MySQL code 4 bib?
<web4lib at webjunction.org>Hello and happy new year!
I'm in the planning stages of a web project that will involve (among other
things) a fair amount of bibliographic data. Rather than building from
scratch, I'm wondering if anyone has worked up a framework for PHP and
MySQL. Ideally, this would include a database schema for bibliographic
entities (at least books, periodical articles, and authors) and maybe a set
of classes that would perform operations on the entities. For instance,
suppose there is a table for articles, with the data stored in a
citation-style-agnostic fashion. And then some code that could grab a record
and spit out a cite, MLA or whatever depending on what was needed at the
time.
I would be surprised if there isn't already something out there along these
lines, but I can't find anything. If I don't find something to build on
soon, I'm going to have to write my own, and I'd rather avoid that if
possible. Any ideas?
Thank you!
