[Web4lib] How to require LDAP login for adding Comments in WordPress?

I am hoping that someone has already done this, or knows how it can be done.  We have a WordPress blog, and I have been asked to turn on comments for it, but to require that users authenticate to our campus LDAP server before they can leave comments (or as some part of the comments process).

We want the blog itself to remain publicly accessible, so I cannot require a login to view the blog and then grab those credentials.

I have looked at several LDAP plugins, but am not sure how to twist things to accomplish this objective.

Any suggestions are welcome - actual instructions which imply I am silly and have missed something obvious are especially welcome.  :)
