University Libraries (Hamilton): Public Services Librarian to identify, evaluate, and implement Web 2.0 and Library 2.0 technologies, such as blogs, wikis, podcasts, RSS feeds, and social networking tools to create a user-centered on-line presence for the library; provide consultation, reference, collection management, and instructional services; maintain strong relationships with academic departments; contribute to library's team organization; other duties as assigned. Some evenings and weekends required. Require: Graduate library degree from an ALA accredited institution; computer skills necessary for applying technology to library services; commitment to quality public service; ability to work independently and with a team to carry out projects on a deadline; strong communication skills; flexibility in an environment of continual change; commitment to meet Libraries' requirements for promotion and continuing contract (see http://www.lib.muohio.edu/about/larps.pdf). Desire: Social networking and other Library 2.0 technologies; web page design and maintenance; providing or supporting instruction using distance learning technologies; teaching credit classes, workshops, and one-on-one; public service in academic library.
