OCLC is currently seeking candidates for a Software Engineer specializing in
Identity Management/Authentication technology. You will be the technical
leader in implementing our Identity Management/Authentication Strategy
across existing and new, transformational products and services currently
being designed and built. This position is at the center of the action as we
roll out these new products and services.
This position is available at either our Corporate Headquarters in Dublin,
Ohio or at one of our regional offices in San Mateo, California.

computer-based cataloging, reference, resource sharing, eContent,
preservation, library management, and Web services to over 60,000 libraries
in 112 countries and territories. OCLC and its member libraries worldwide
have created and maintain WorldCat, the world's richest online resource for
finding library materials.
* Provide technical leadership in the design and implementation of  OCLC¹s
enterprise-wide Identity Management/Authentication strategy.
* Work with Product Management and Software Development leadership to refine
and evolve the Identity Management/Authentication strategy
* Expected to have a point of view that encompasses complete systems,
multiple components, or entire products.
* Lead in the development and interpretation of requirements.
* Perform high level analysis and design of software programs and systems.
Create, modify, and test programs and systems.
* Analyze and solve problems in existing systems.
* Plan and participate in load, capacity, and performance analysis and/or
testing, along with recommending/making improvements/fixes to systems.
* Lead and mentor junior technical staff, serving as a resource on issues of
design and coding.
* Bachelor¹s degree in a Computer Science related discipline and skills
usually represented by 5-8 years of software development or project
management experience
* Demonstrated ability to build software systems using industry standard
tools, practices, and procedures, and to analyze and solve problems in
existing systems
* Experience with Java and C programming languages, and JavaScript scripting
* In-depth knowledge of HTTP, SAML, Shibboleth, LDAP, and OpenID
* Demonstrated ability to lead and communicate in a team environment.
