Job Posting: Iowa State University Library, Ames, IA

The Iowa State University Library is seeking an e-Library Coordinator to oversee web design and the development of public and staff interfaces to the e-Library. This highly complex website uses both locally-developed programs and commercial software (including the SirsiDynix Horizon Library Management System and multiple Ex Libris products) to provide access to a wide variety of library collections and services.

A new position reporting to the Library's Associate Dean for Research & Access, this individual will design, develop, manage, assess, and continuously improve the presentation of web-based content and services to library users, both internal and external. At the same time, s/he will work collaboratively with the Library's Information Technology (IT) Officer and IT staff as they develop and manage the website infrastructure. In this dual role, the position is seen as a creative pivot between traditional public service and IT divisions of the library. Technical responsibilities include web and graphic design, website development and maintenance, multimedia development, and possibly some programming and database work (collaboratively with IT staff).
