Bloomsbury does "This Day in Literary History." It displays what's
significant about today, but you can enter any day in blue box at the
bottom of the page.

Subject: [Web4lib] Online list of book-related events?
Is there an online list of book and library related events throughout
the year?
LII's "new this week" lists World Literature and Copyright Day on
April 23. I wish I had known about this in time to plan an event for
it.
World Book and Copyright Day
Links to resources for this "world-wide tribute to books and authors"
held on April 23, "a symbolic date for world literature for on this
date in 1616, Cervantes, Shakespeare and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega all
died." Provides links to material from UNESCO, the World Intellectual
Property Organization, and other websites from the United Nations (UN)
and other international groups. Available in several languages. From
the UN.
