LAC seeks qualified candidates for the position of Director of
Administration and Technology Systems, for our client, a major book
services company in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have a
combination of library, management, and experience with new library
technologies. Our client is offering a generous compensation and
benefits package for the right candidate. 

 

 

Requirements 

 

*	Sets the strategic direction and oversees the activities of the
Opening Day Collections group and the Account Services group.  
*	Responsible for establishing policies, service levels and
procedures to ensure customer expectations are consistently met and
exceeded. 
*	Lead and direct cross-functional teams in implementing complex
customer projects, which correspond to significant sales volume
increases or retention.  
*	Departmental workflow, production, and throughput are also key
components of this position.

 

  

Qualifications 

 

*	Strong familiarity with MARC, LC and Dewey classification
schemes 
*	Knowledge of the Z39.50 communication protocols 
*	Experience with major library vendors highly desirable 
*	MLS strongly preferred 
*	7 + years in the Library Market or Library Vendor Experience 
*	Familiarity with Excel, Word, and MS Access 
*	5+ years customer service experience strongly preferred 
*	2+ years sales experience strongly preferred 
*	Prior experience with E-Commerce systems preferred
