Why there be an editorial board for an e-mail list?

Subject: [Web4lib] Off-Topic Posts in Web4Lib

This is a friendly reminder from the Web4Lib editorial board about the
list's posting policy, which is always available online at
<http://lists.webjunction.org/web4lib/>.

In particular: All posts to Web4Lib must relate, however slightly, to
the general topic of World Wide Web systems and libraries or library
staff. Our benevolent list owner interprets this rather broadly, but
messages that are clearly off-topic will not be tolerated.

Simple pointers to web sites, that are not part of an ongoing thread
and are not library-related, are off-topic. Off-topic posts that
identify themselves as such are still off-topic and should not be
posted here.

<http://lists.webjunction.org/web4lib/> is also the place for
information on unsubscribing, managing your subscription, or searching
the archive.
