[Web4lib] Movable Type or Wordpress MU for multiple library blogs?

I have experience installing and configuring WordPress MU for the UCLA
Library. WordPress MU is basically a one-man operation. Don't expect
shrink-wrapped software or "enterprise"-type support. The forum [1] is
decent and the best source of information but you'll have to roll up
your sleeves and do a lot for yourself. The administration interface
is not designed for a site administer to manage all blog settings en
masse. Some settings can be managed this way but for other settings
each blog must be administered individually.

Akismet is pretty good anti-spam software, but must be administered on
a per blog basis (usually by the blog administrator). It's also not
free (except with certain restrictions which we cannot accept) so that
should be factored into your decision.
