[Web4lib] New Job Title Pulled from Thin Air

I changed mine when I got hired from "Support Services & Automation
Manager" to "Principal Librarian, Technology", which usually is relayed
as "Library Technology Manager". Our other Principal Librarian is the
Public Services Manager. I supervise our 2 full time tech folks, the
web site, our three major tech vendor relations, the Head of Circ and of
Tech Services, and help run the Library....
I felt that a) "Automation" was a totally outdated term, and b) "Support
Services" diminished the integral work of our paraprofessionals and
catalogers. Technology Manager is kind of boring, but is better, I
think.
In my last job I was Webmistress for the Oakland Public Library, in
California. I made that one up, and got it on my business cards.
Officially Senior Librarian, there.

All I can say is - I hate my job title, & I wish I could change it! For
someone who is webmaster, network manager, computer class teacher, fixer
of anything computery, purchaser of anything computery - & that's for a
2 library & bookmobile system...........
I ended up with Patron Technical Assistant!
Are there any others out there? I'd love to hear from them!

I've already claimed "Webgoddess" - it's even on my insurance forms as
my official job title! Just letting you all know...
