I use NewzCrawler (http://www.newzcrawler.com), a Windows application that cost $24.95 US, as my desktop RSS/Atom aggregator. The big drawback of course is that you can't take your feeds with you. Since it has a lot of extra things, including blogging support, it's a great tool if you're not in or require a mobile environment that would better suit a Web-based aggregator.
