St. John Fisher College is looking for Systems Librarian to provide
leadership in library technology applications as part of a team
providing high-quality, student-focused service to the campus community.
This is a 12-month, full-time position with some evening and weekend
hours required.  Many exciting opportunities are on the horizon as we
migrate to Innovative Interfaces Millennium software this fall.

 

Qualifications

  Required:

*	ALA accredited advanced degree 
*	Knowledge and understanding of the library technology
environment and service interdependencies among integrated components 
*	Demonstrated strengths in communication and collaboration 
*	Strong commitment to a user-centered library philosophy 
*	Strong commitment to the importance of library outreach and
instruction 

*	Demonstrated ability to work positively and productively in a
changing environment 

*	Technical knowledge of computer hardware, software, and
networking 

*         Strong oral and written communication skills

*         Strong analytical/problem solving and critical thinking skills

*         Ability to manage multiple projects and functions 

Preferred

*	Familiarity with the information needs of the academic community

*	Reference and instruction experience    

*	Demonstrated understanding of client/server environment 
*	Expertise and knowledge in programming languages and website
development preferred 
*	Experience with III, , EZProxy, ILLiad, Ariel, Serials Solutions
