[Web4lib] Formula for determining number of public workstations?

Hi there,

Does anyone have a formula/advice (or can cite a study) that will help
us determine an optimal number of public use computer workstations for a
public library (based on population and/or visits)? I thought I would be
able to find something (ALA, PLA, etc.) but none such luck.
