Bill Moyers on America

In October, Bill Moyers returns to investigative journalism with a series of three documentaries airing Wednesdays, October 4, 11, and 18 at 9 p.m. on PBS (Check your local station for times.) MOYERS ON AMERICA takes on crucial issues affecting democracy: money in politics, the environment, and Internet neutrality. This workshop will:

* Feature a brief introduction by Bill Moyers describing the series and the crucial role libraries play in our democracy,
* Introduce you to the MOYERS ON AMERICA Citizens Class where your patrons can connect, reflect, and respond to the important issues raised by the documentaries,
* Solicit ideas from you on ways to use this content in your libraries,
* Tell you how to access free resources to promote in-house community conversations.

The MOYERS ON AMERICA series is generously offering free posters for your book display. Please send your requests - including quantities and full shipping address and phone number with the subject line MOA POSTERS to Danielle Muniz at munizd at thirteen.org by September 11.
