Combine the tip below with a passworded BIOS which disallows booting
from any removable drive and you should be all set.  (I've used
CleanSlate, which is a DeepFreeze competitor, and the BIOS password in
the past -- works great)

Also, LibNT-L (hosted at listserv.utk.edu I think) has had this
discussion before, if you'd like other software recommendations.

I have been using DeepFreeze for 4+ years & have been quite happy with
its ability to "lock down" a pc.  The only way to defeat it is to boot
to a cd that would erase the contents of the hard drive & I don't think
too many patrons carry those kinds of cds around.
