Salomeh,
A number of people did some excellent presentations at the Computers in
Libraries conference (March 2006)on their experiences in implementing
federated search products. Their presentations don't seem to be
available on the conference web site, but here's the listing in the
conference program -- http://www.infotoday.com/cil2006/wednesday.shtml
(see session A103). You might want to contact them to see if they'll
share their notes.

Hi Salomeh,
Do you have any specific questions about Federated search? Like, what
software packages to use, ease of use, how to set it up, if users found
it useful, etc.
By starting with a specific question, it might help to get the
discussion rolling.
