These presentations are very interesting and show how easy it is to
integrate lousely coupled services. I am trying to find a schema to
describe such services in such a way that applications can use those
descriptions to offer these services to the user automatically in a
dynamic way and and hopefully allow users to specify to these
applications which services to use. It is more or less an extrapolation
of OpenURL. In Ariadne issue 47
(http://www.ariadne.ac.uk/issue47/vanveen/) I describe this idea. Is
there anyone aware of a similar initiative (other than WSDL and UDDI) or
is there anyone interested in contributing to the development of such a
schema?

Unlike Joe, I have no such doubts about posting links to other folks
conference presentations -- particularly when they are as good as
Jim's. His presentations can be found at <http://www.library.njit.edu/
staff-folders/robertson/presentations/>, and I commend them all to
you. I saw his Code4Lib presentation (available at the site above)
and he knocked my socks off (to the horror of those sitting near me).
