I'd highly recommend looking into Kevin's approach too if the problem
really will be temporary. It's dramatically less work than the use of a
versioning system. Another way to do a similar thing to the WinZIP trick
is to use the "Search files and folders" to see which files have been
added or modified since a certain date. If you want something more
complex for searching, you might be able to find a version of the
linux/unix find command (or just download cygwin)
