Job Title: Systems Librarian

Position Description:
This is a service-oriented librarian position responsible for managing the
Voyager library system. Works in a multi-campus environment and serves as
the first point of contact for all Voyager related issues; implements
enhancements to the system; generates Voyager related reports; maintains
awareness of current trends in library automation and information
technology. Serves as liaison with GPC information technology staff and with
USG service site coordinator. Provides leadership in planning for the
library's technology needs and the selection and maintenance of electronic
resources. Responsible for college-wide interlibrary loans. This is a
twelve-month, non-tenure track position with faculty rank.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master's degree (ALA accredited or USG Board of Regents approved
MLIS)in Library Science or Library Information Science required.

Desirable Skills: Commitment to enhancing services and responsiveness to
library customers. Knowledge of all library functional areas (acquisitions,
cataloging, reference, circulation, etc.). Outstanding communication,
interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills; ability to work
independently or in a team environment. Ability to interface with technical
and non-technical personnel; willingness to learn new technical skills.
Knowledge of web design, Microsoft Office and Oracle desirable.

Experience: One year of library experience preferred; experience managing a
library automated system (especially Voyager) in an academic library
desired. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Salary:
Negotiable, commensurate with education and experience, minimum $35,585 with
excellent benefits.
