[Web4lib] Needs assessment studies

Our unit that performs needs assessment and usability testing for us  
has recently released a needs assessment report that although it is  
focused on a particular UC initiative, nonetheless has findings that  
I think are more generally applicable to academic libraries and their  
clientele. This particular report is called "Shared Print: the Patron  
Perspective," which is listed on this page: <http://www.cdlib.org/ 
inside/assess/evaluation_activities/>, but while you're there, you  
may want to look at some of the other reports as well. There isn't  
any reason why we shouldn't share these kinds of findings with each  
other. Not all of us can afford to perform these kinds of activities  
to discover exactly what our users think.
