[Web4lib] Need digitization equipment and software information

Wow, that is quite a collection of very different item types, which
would, preferably, require very different scanning equipment.  I would
recommend that you join the ImageLib (
http://elearn.arizona.edu/imagelib/ ) and DigLib (
http://www.ifla.org/II/lists/diglib.htm ) email lists.  There are
people there who can assist you with your questions.

As to software, you can go from freeware like Irfanview or ImageMagick
or Greenstone, to pricey like Adobe Photoshop or ArchivalWare or
MetaStar.

My library is planning to digitize slides, films, newspapers, some old
