Responsibilities: Leads and coordinates the Learning Commons, a highly 
visible and accessible area of the library currently being renovated 
where new technologies will combine with traditional knowledge resources 
in a dynamic, community-oriented learning environment. Works closely 
with students to identify and meet their changing needs.  In 
consultation with other departments, recommends, develops, and 
integrates library services for delivery in the Commons. Hires and 
supervises graduate student assistants; supervises computing consultant. 
Plays a key role in assessment of library services. Reports to the Head 
of Research and Information Services.

Qualifications:  ALA-accredited MLS or equivalent advanced degree in 
library or information science. At least 3 years of relevant 
professional experience. Knowledge of applications of current and 
emerging technologies as they contribute to meeting the needs of 
students and researchers. Knowledge of library information technology 
infrastructure. Supervisory experience and awareness of staff 
development issues. Ability to work effectively with colleagues, 
faculty, and students in a team environment. Salary: Highly competitive 
and commensurate with experience.

Benefits:  Non-tenure track faculty status. Benefits include: Health

retirement options. 24 vacation days. Relocation allowance.
