All - while it's completely beyond this non-list-admin's scope of
desired behavior, you might recall that there's a long-running,
many-subscribered list just for the discussion of open source as it
applies to libraries.  It's called oss4lib, and you can read about it
or join at:

  http://oss4lib.org/listserv/

There hasn't been a good flame war over there for a while, now, so I
suspect people might be primed for one.
