>I am looking for a good web site search engine that I can place on our
library's web site. It needs to be free, easy to implement, and not be
Google.
I used to use Picosearch; when they had a 1500-page limit I divided our
local history site among 4 accounts and it worked pretty well. After
they cut the limit to 250 I stopped recommending them and switched to
FreeFind, which has no limit on pages, just a total of 32MB of HTML.
(They hint that they will expand this, which I will have to look into
eventually).
I have heard favorable things about Atomz, but FreeFind worked better
for my purposes.
I also offer the Google search for those who are comfortable with that.
