There's an interesting blurb in The Chronicle of Higher Education's
information technology "conference notebook".

It mentions a paper presented by Sonia Livingstone at the recent
Association of Internet Researchers conference. The blurb leads off by
saying "Colleges should not assume that the latest generation of
students is made up of techno-wizards, a British scholar told a
gathering of Internet researchers here."
