Subject: NT workstation recommendation
Date: Wed, 10 Feb 1999 14:09:48 -0500
Message-ID: <19990210190947891.AAA60 at Nkeane.concord.k12.nh.us>
I have $3000 to spend to purchase an NT workstation. I already have the
software so only need to purchase the hardware. I've been asked to come up
with specs so that we can send out to bid. The workstation will be used as
my web server.
So far, I am thinking Pentium II 350 mhz processor, 128 mb ram, dual scsi 4
gig hard drives, 32x cd-rom, 3.5 floppy, tape backup (?), 14 inch monitor,
10/100 network interface card, video card, mouse, keyboard, and UPS.
Can someone share their opinion with me? Should I go faster, bigger, etc.?
Any other hardware I need?
Thanks much!
Nancy
