Date: May 3, 2005

Location: OHIONET, 1500 W. Lane Ave, Columbus Ohio 43221

Description:

If many of the folks who come into your library are seniors who struggle
when you try to teach them how to use a computer/mouse, or if they're
overwhelmed when you try to teach them how to use Internet Explorer (or
another browser) or if they are confused when searching the Web... then
attend this full-day workshop to find out how to make teaching seniors
more effective and fun for them (and more satisfying for you). You'll
learn which search tools and techniques work best with seniors, how to
reduce senior "technophobia", and how best to design classes and
handouts especially for seniors. You'll even get a chance to design a
handout from scratch in order to practice what you've learned, as well
as visit some great Website that seniors will really enjoy visiting.
Come join the fun and get "senior-savvy"!
