Another advantage of PDF is that 1 document = 1 file.  An HTML document
can be, in fact, one .html file, one or more .css files, a handful of
.js files, a scattering of image files, and perhaps a server-side
include or two, all requiring a relative (if you're lucky) or absolute
set of path relationships.  That can make moving HTML from one machine
to another a very brittle process.
