[Web4lib] Need script that replaces a leading character in a login ID

Hello All,

We are in need of a script that will take the leading capital A on a
student's Banner ID and replace it with a  zero before he ID is passed to
our method=post login page for our library catalog. I envision this script
being added to our catalog login page, and will work behind the scenes.

Has anyone done such a thing? Thanks!
