I do not see why we have to feel threatened by Google Scholar.  I don't
feel threatened.  It is one more avenue for our patrons to get what they
need.  Now such issues as most appropriate copy and such may be
difficult to reconcile but are not impossible to fix. Maybe Google
should be working with the OpenURL companies such as Ex Libris in
getting OpenURL to work with Google Scholar in a better way.  I am not
sure how that could be done but I am sure it is possible.  Remember it
says beta on the opening page for Google Scholar.  Lets find ways of
working with it.  It is a natural progression in my own opinion.  This
might be the federated searching solution for those of us that can't
afford the federated searching products.
