Subject: [WEB4LIB] Validated against HTML 4.1 Transitional
Many thanks to those that encouraged me to validate by web opac opening
pages. I have successfully validated it against HTML 4.1 Transitional.
Along the way I learned several new things at least new to me. I found that
when using JavaScript to write parts of a page it is necessary to use \/ to
close an element, i.e..
<p>asdfghjkasdfghj<\/p>. This allows the JavaScript to properly validate.
My next 2 steps will be to get rid of tables used for presentation only and
to move more of the styles into the stylesheet.
