FWIW, you can simply comment out the line in the install.php file that
says to create a new database and instead add tables to an existing
database. The only way you would have trouble is if the piratesource
tables had the same name as tables in your pre-existing database. The
name of the database itself is set in config.php. It is really pretty
easy to get running.
