Online Web journal creation; see http://www.blogger.com for a very
popular spot, but there are many others. The vast majority of blogs
seem to fall victim to the "Baby Tuckoo" syndrome (that is, they read
like novels by James Joyce, vast streams of consciousness), but there is
some creative blogging out there. Among other things, it's a vastly
simple way to publish a decent-looking page on the Web if your objective
is writing versus design.

We use a blog to produce a pick list of potential resources; Chicago
Public Library has one too, and Peter Scott maintains one, Library News
Daily (http://www.lights.com/scott/ ), plus he maintains Weblogs
Compendium (http://www.lights.com/weblogs/ ) (by jove, that really needs
to go into lii.org) . I think someone (Walt Crawford?) discussed
blogging as of late.
