Every once and a while, a reminder is in order. To wit:
* If you think a message is off-topic it most likely is
* Labeling it as off-topic does not excuse it
* Despite this, only the Web4Lib Advisory Board decides what is
off-topic or not
* Therefore, your best strategy is to simply post your question and wait
for us, the Board, to call you on it
* If we do call you on it, you will indeed know you were wrong, and you
will also know that another violation may result in as extreme a
punishment as removal from the list
I repeat: allow the Web4Lib Board to decide what is off-topic or not,
meanwhile, do your best to keep the discussion on track. Most of the
3,200 subscribers will thank you for it. Thanks,
